Duleep Singh explains that he has invited a couple of officers to a shoot on Saturday and asks Drewitt how much is to pay, adding that 'I will send you a cheque direct' and further referring to some guns before concluding 'I sail for Canada on the 15th. I am very much cut up at leaving England - & I fear I can never hope for anything ever to come right again'.
