GEORGE CHIEF DAN: (1899-1981) Chief of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation in British Columbia, Canada, and an actor who was an Academy Award nominee for Best Supporting Actor in 1970 for his performance as Old Lodge Skins in Little Big Man. A rare signed 8 x 9.5 photograph of George in a close-up head and shoulders pose in costume from one of his most famous roles as Lone Watie from the American revisionist Western film The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) in which he starred opposite Clint Eastwood. Signed by George in in blue ink with his name alone to the head of the image. VG
