An interesting A.L.S., `A Walewski´, one page, 4to, 31 Dover Street, London, 1st of June 1832, to Monsieur Isidor Crespin, in French. Walewski refers to a payment he needs to grant and to his difficult financial situation, stating in part `Mon cher Monsieur Crespin, je vous envoie ci-joint un billet à l´ordre de Mr. Juteau ... je vous prie d´avoir la bonté de passer chez Mr. Juteau, d´arrêter mon compte avec lui qui me laisse débiteur de 18400 francs et qui fait avec l´intérêt jusqu´au premier janvier 1834 20000 franc. Je vous prie de dire à Mr. Juteau que de la manière dont j´ai réglé mes affaires je n´ai absolument plus aucun capital de disponible et m´est donc de toute impossibilité de lui donner en paiement autre chose que cette créance. S´il veut il peut écrire à D´Orsay pour l´assurer de l´exactitude du paiement.´ (Translation: "My dear Mr. Crespin, I am sending you herewith a note payable to Mr. Juteau...
