BASSERMANN ALBERT: (1867-1952) German actor, an Academy Award nominee for Best Supporting Actor in 1940 for his performance as Van Meer in Alfred Hitchcock´s Foreign Correspondent. A good vintage signed sepia 9.5 x 7.5 photograph of the actor standing outdoors in a half-length pose close to a wooden staircase. Signed in black fountain pen ink to the image and dated at Berlin, 28th June 1920 in his hand. Scarce. A few minor surface marks and creases, otherwise VG
