The dark green leather bound 4to Guest Book of Galland containing an exceptional and diverse selection of over 150 signatures, letters and signed photographs etc., including (in order of appearance within the volume) Bernard Law Montgomery (1887-1976) British Field Marshal of World War II- A.L.S., Montgomery of Alamein, one page, small 4to, Palace Hotel, Murren, 7th January 1953, to Galland, on the printed stationery of the Deputy Supreme Commander, Allied Powers Europe. Montgomery returns a photograph which he has signed, and thanks Galland for having met him in Geneva, adding that he will return to the city on 15th February ´on which day I will leave your airport in my aeroplane at 1200 hrs for Paris´, together with a vintage signed 5 x 7 photograph of Montgomery standing in a full-length pose close to some aircraft steps and alongside several other individuals.
