The manuscript document is a promissory note, ´Bon pour la somme de six cent francs payables au [Mon]sieur Beaujean fin de Novembre prochain´ (Translation: ´Good for the sum of six hundred francs payable to [Mon]sieur Beaujean at the end of November next´). With various ink annotations and official stamps etc., as well as endorsements to the verso, indicating that the monies were paid to Beaujean at Paris on 30th November 1836.
