USTINOV PETER (1921-2004) British actor, Academy Award winner. A good vintage signed and inscribed 7 x 9.5 photograph of Ustinov standing in a half-length pose in costume as the General, President of the tiny, obscure European Republic of Concordia, from the American romantic comedy film Romanoff and Juliet (1961) which was also directed and written by Ustinov, and adapted from his play of the same title, itself loosely based on William Shakespeare´s Romeo and Juliet. Photograph by A. Di Giovanni of Rome and bearing their credit stamp to the verso. Signed by Ustinov in blue fountain pen ink to a lighter area of the background, ´For dear Sash - My affection for you overlaps, Ever, Peter´ and dated at Rome, 28th July 1960, in his hand.
