TARANTINO QUENTIN: (1963- ) American film director, Academy Award winner. Signed colour 8 x 10 photograph of Tarantino in a head and shoulders pose, holding a small pistol in one hand, in costume from his cameo appearance in the American revisionist Western film Django Unchained (2012) which he also wrote and directed. Signed in black fountain pen ink with his name alone to the image. In his hurry to sign the photograph, the director has created a series of ink blots from the nib of the fountain pen, creating a dramatic effect on the image close to the gun, akin to an exploding bullet shell. It was for Django Unchained that Tarantino received the Best Original Screenplay Academy Award in 2012. VG
