FRANCO FRANCISCO: (1892-1975) Spanish General who served as head (Caudillo) of the Spanish state 1936-75 and as Prime Minister of Spain 1938-73. An unusually large vintage signed and inscribed 14 x 19 photograph by Franco, the image depicting the dictator standing in a three-quarter length profile pose, wearing his white uniform, as he makes a presentation to Mariano de Broto, stood opposite, and with another uniformed gentleman standing alongside. Photograph by Campua of Madrid and signed by him in white ink to the upper left corner of the image and also with his credit stamp to the verso, dated 24th June 1964. Signed by Franco to the lower white border with a two-line inscription in Spanish, to Mariano de Broto of the Barcelona Electricty Union, and dated 8th October 1964 in Franco's hand. Lightly mounted at the head of the verso to a stiff card mount by Barbara de Braganza of Madrid.
