BERGMAN INGRID: (1915-1982) Swedish actress, Academy Award winner for Best Actress in 1944 for her role as Paula Alquist Anton in Gaslight and again in 1956 for her role as Anna Koref/Anastasia in Anastasia. A good vintage signed 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photograph of Bergman in a half-length pose wearing a suit of armour and carrying a standard, in costume as the French religious icon and war heroine Joan of Arc from the American epic historical drama film Joan of Arc (1948). Signed by Bergman in blue fountain pen ink with her name alone across a lighter area of the image. It was for her performance in this role that Bergman was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar.
