ZOLA EMILE: (1840-1902) French Writer. A.L.S., `Emile Zola´, two pages, 8vo, written to the first and third page of the bifolium, Médan, 13th July 1886, to a colleague, in French. Zola apologizes for the couple of times that his appointment with his correspondent had to be delayed, and suggests a meeting in Paris, stating `Veuillez m´excuser d´avoir, à deux reprises, empêché votre petit voyage à Médan. Mais il y aurait peut-être moyen de tout récupérer: je serai jeudi soir à Paris, et si vous pouviez passer rue de Boulogne 23, à six heures précises, vous seriez certain de m´y rencontrer. Cela vous éviterait même l´ennui d´un dérangement plus grand´ (Translation: "Please excuse me for having twice prevented your little trip to Médan. But perhaps there is a way to sort out everything: I will be in Paris on Thursday evening, and if you could come by 23 Rue de Boulogne at six o'clock sharp, you would be sure to meet me there.
