JONES JENNIFER: (1919-2009) American actress, Academy Award winner for Best Actress in 1943 for her role as Bernadette Soubirous in The Song of Bernadette. A good vintage signed sepia 8 x 10 photograph, an original United Artists publicity portrait of Jones in a half-length pose outdoors in costume as Pearl Chavez from Duel in the Sun (1946). It was for her performance in this film that Jones was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar. Signed in bold purple fountain pen ink with her name alone to a light area at the head of the image. Rare.
