KIENZL WILHELM: (1857-1941) Austrian Composer. Kienzl studied under Liszt before completing doctoral studies at the University of Vienna. An excellent signed postcard photograph with an autograph musical quotation, the image depicting Kienzl in a half-length pose. Signed in bold black fountain pen ink `Wilhelm Kienzl´, also dated beneath in hus hand in Graz, 1st of February 1912, to a clear area to the upper right corner of the image. To the upper left corner Kienzl has cleanly and carefully penned a four bars musical quotation which he entitles Evangelimann, his third and most famous opera, written in 1894. Kienzl also adds beneath the musical quotation the lyrics corresponding to the music. VG
