TCHAIKOVSKY PIOTR ILLICH: (1840-1893) Russian Composer. Rare signed and inscribed 4 x 6.5 cabinet card photograph of Tchaikovsky. The sepia image, slightly raised, as issued, depicting the Russian composer in a half-length pose. Signed and inscribed to the lower white border of the card `To Praskovia Petrovna Chernova from her old friend P.Tchaikovsky´ in bold black ink. Bearing to lower white border a blind embossed seal and to the verso the printed logo of the photographer, with the printed text "The Imperial Theatres - Marinsky Theatre Building". Two small, neat indentations to the lower left and right edges, most likely the result of previous framing, not affecting the text or signature. Two stains to the image with some small surface scratches. Remnants of former affixing to the verso. About G
