Signed (´Henrik Ibsen´) and inscribed by Ibsen in dark fountain pen ink to the verso, in Norwegian, ´Til Ludwig Passarge med venskab og taknemmelighed´ (Translation: ´To Ludwig Passarge with friendship and gratitude´) and dated at Munich, 16th December 1886, in his hand.
